About the Course

An empowering and informative class designed to equip Sprouts with the knowledge and tools needed to start planning their journey toward higher education and future success. Through engaging lessons and hands-on activities, students will explore various fields of study, learn about potential career paths, and develop essential skills such as goal setting, time management, and effective study habits. This course aims to build confidence and inspire ambition, helping young ladies to envision and prepare for a bright, successful future.


Course Highlights:


Understanding Higher Education:

  • Exploring different types of colleges and universities, including community colleges, liberal arts colleges, and major research universities.

  • Discussing the value of higher education and how it can impact career opportunities and personal growth.


Self-Discovery and Goal Setting:

  • Identifying individual strengths, interests, and passions to help guide college and career choices.

  • Setting short-term and long-term academic and personal goals.


Academic Excellence:

  • Learning effective study habits and time management skills to excel in middle and high school.

  • Understanding the importance of maintaining a strong GPA and taking challenging courses.


Extracurricular Involvement:

  • Exploring various extracurricular activities, clubs, and volunteer opportunities that can enhance college applications.

  • Discussing the benefits of leadership roles and community involvement.


Navigating the College Application Process:

By the end of this course, our young ladies will be well-prepared to embark on their college journey with confidence and clarity when they reach high school. "Pathways to University" is about dreaming big, setting goals, and taking the first steps toward a bright and successful future.
