About the Course

This class introduces the concept of community service and encourages young students to explore their roles and contributions within their local community.


Course Highlights:


Understanding Community and Service:

  • Introducing the concept of a community and explaining the different roles people play within it.

  • Discussing the importance of community service and how helping others can make a positive impact.


Hands-On Community Projects:

  • Engaging in simple, age-appropriate community service projects that allow students to apply what they’ve learned.


Developing Empathy and Compassion:

  • Exploring the values of empathy and compassion through stories and activities that highlight the importance of understanding and helping others.

  • Discussing real-life examples of how kindness and support can make a difference.


Personal Reflection and Growth:

  • Encouraging students to reflect on their experiences and how they feel about their role in the community.

  • Discussing personal strengths and interests that can be used to help others and contribute to the community.


Celebrating Contributions:

  • Recognizing and celebrating the efforts and achievements of students in their community service activities.

  • Hosting a small event or presentation where students can share their experiences and the impact they made.


By the end of this course, our Buds will have a greater understanding of their role in the community, developed a sense of empathy, and gained practical experience in community service. "Helping Hands" is a journey toward discovering how they can make a difference and become active, caring members of their community.
