About the Course


This class provides a gentle introduction to understanding the changes their bodies go through as they approach puberty.


Course Highlights:


Introduction to Puberty:

  • Explaining the basics of puberty in a clear and age-appropriate manner, including what changes to expect and why they occur.

  • Providing a general overview of bodily changes and emotional shifts that come with growing up.


Understanding the Monthly Cycle:

  • Introducing the concept of the menstrual cycle in simple terms, including the basic stages and what to expect.

  • Discussing the importance of menstrual health and how to manage personal hygiene during this time.


Body Changes and Personal Care:

  • Learning about the physical changes that occur during puberty, such as breast development, body hair growth, and changes in skin.

  • Providing tips on personal care and hygiene to help manage these changes comfortably and confidently.


Emotional and Social Changes:

  • Discussing the emotional changes that can accompany puberty, such as mood swings or new feelings.

  • Providing strategies for handling these emotions and talking about feelings with trusted adults or friends.


Empowering Personal Hygiene:

  • Teaching practical skills for managing menstrual hygiene, including how to use menstrual products and how to stay comfortable and clean.

  • Providing guidance on how to prepare a personal hygiene kit for school and other activities.


Healthy Lifestyle Choices:

  • Exploring the importance of a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate rest in maintaining overall health during puberty.

  • Encouraging healthy habits and self-care routines that support physical and emotional well-being.


Open Discussions and Questions:

  • Creating a safe space for open discussions where students can ask questions and express their thoughts about puberty and body changes.

  • Providing accurate and reassuring information to address any concerns or curiosities.
